Basic GUI

There are three ways to transform the 3D Graph viewpoint, rotation, translation, and zooming, Rotation of the plot is simply done by touching the screen and dragging. To translate tap and drag either of the arrow icons in the top left or bottom right corner of the screen. To zoom tap and drag either the plus icon on the bottom left or the minus icon on the top right and drag.

Animation Tab

The animation tab is used for animating graphs. The following describes when each element in the interface does.
  • Duration - this is the length animation to happen in seconds.
  • Loop - selects if the animation will loop or not.
  • Variable - this is the variable that is changing over the course of the animation.
  • Delay - this is the delay between frames of the animation in seconds.
  • From - the starting value of the variable.
  • To - the ending value of the variable
  • Go - animates the graph.
  • Slider - freely adjust the Variable between the From and To values.

View Tab

The view tab allows the user to change how each 3D graph is drawn and shaded. The following described what each item does.
  • Wire Drag - This toggles weather or not the graphs are drawn in wireframe when the view is being changed.
  • Function Select - This is the drop down box that select which function the rest of the buttons apply to.
  • Wire - Draws the selected graph as a wireframe
  • Shaded - Draws the selected graph shaded
  • Depth - Shades the selected graph based on the depth to the camera
    • X - Shades the selected graph based on the depth in the X direction
    • Y - Shades the selected graph based on the depth in the Y direction
    • Z - Shades the selected graph based on the depth in the Z direction
  • Light1 - Shades the selected graph to be lit by a light source that rotates with the graph.
  • Light2 - Shades the selected graph to be lit by a light source that stays stationary.
