Function Types

There are six function types current implemented into Pocket Grapher. They are described as follows.
  • User Functions - These functions can be user defined with any number of parameters
  • Cartesian - These graphs can either be a y(x) or an x(y) they are graphed on the Graph tab
  • Parametric - These graphs are defined by two functions x(t) y(t) they are graphed on the Graph tab
  • Polar - These graphs are defined as r(a) they are graphed on the Graph tab
  • 3D Cartesian - These graphs are defined as x(y,z), y(x,z) or z(x,y) they are drawn on the 3D Graph tab
  • 3D Parametric - These graphs are defined by three functions x(u,v), y(u,v), z(u,v) they are drawn on the 3D Graph tab

Function Edit

Each of these functions can be created by tapping new next to the coorisponding function type. You may setup a function in the dialog that is displayed. After clicking ok you may edit it by tapping the edit button that is then created. In this dialog you can delete the function and change the graph color. You can also edit intervals but only for Parametric, Polar, 3D Cartesian, and 3D Parametric functions.
